About Le Petite Canine LLC
Le Petite Canine is a mother and daughter team providing safety centered dog care since 2014. Every hand-made collar purchased thru their online boutique contributes to a collar for a shelter dog.
As a family owned cottage-industry business. We provide dog sitting services for our local community and sell our hand-made products nationally. Our tight-knit team designs and creates every dog collar, bow-tie and leash in our collection. Le Petite Canine’s system of production takes place in our private homes rather than in a factory. We provide non-mass produced 100% organic cotton dog collars packaged with our own paws and shipped to you with the expectation that you will be thrilled with our brand and quality service. To provide shelter dogs with a basic necessity, we are giving away our collars every time someone shops in our boutique.
Pro-Sitter, Designer & CEO
At a very early age I decided that dogs gave me commitment. There was no way I could ever let a dog down. Reading, learning and writing about dogs steered my passion to becoming an educated author and artist. In my college days I studied design and how to teach kids about art until ultimately I received a master’s degree. Pushing that degree to good use, I taught high schoolers for just shy of twenty years until one day my life happily went back to the dogs. Writing our blog from my dogs point of view is pure joy. Giving collars to shelter dogs warms my heart.
My motto? Everything is satis-factual.

Miss Winn-Dixie is a purebred West Highland White Terrier and very conscious of this fact. She is usually found perched near the window (almost catlike!) spotting and grumbling about the tiny chipmunks scurrying under our porch. She enjoys modeling our collar designs and testing the leashes out on walks as long as it’s not too hot outdoors.
Her motto? Await them and then bark like heck.
Pro-Sitter & JR. Designer
My dog Winn-Dixie is the sparkle in my day. She has been my best friend since we brought her home when I was 10 years old. She is sometimes jealous of the dogs we walk, but usually she is just curious about them. Winn-Dixie and I work on agility training together. She is absolutely adorable when she jumps over the hurdles Westie style. I enjoy getting to know each of our dog clients and I certainly have my favorites. Helping rescue dogs recieve collars thru our boutique is the sweetest part of being a good dog-sitter.
My motto? A little pixie dust will go a long way.

Mr. T-Bone is a “Chug”, part Pug, part Chihuahua and a bit of Jack Russel. This combination of breeding makes for a dandy little dog. The chap has a proverbial habit of sleeping all day in the warmest spot he can find even if this spot will trip passersby. He has no interest in wearing our collar designs or even acknowledging them, and prefers to lie about the house stark-naked.
His motto? Eat, sleep, snuggle, repeat.
