About Le Petite Canine
Le Petite Canine is a mother and daughter team providing safety centered dog care since 2014.
We provide dog sitting services for our local community including walks and potty breaks. We also donate our handmade collars and leashes, volunteer our time walking dogs, caring for cats and kittens and occasionally fostering for our local shelters.
At a very early age I decided that dogs gave me commitment. There was no way I could ever let a dog down. I enjoy reading, learning and writing about dogs.
I received my master’s degree in art education and I love to draw and paint dogs. I taught high school students for just shy of twenty years until one day my life happily went back to the dogs. Giving collars to shelter dogs warms my heart.
Miss Winn-Dixie is a purebred West Highland White Terrier and very conscious of this fact. She is usually found perched near the window (almost catlike!) spotting and grumbling about the tiny chipmunks scurrying under our porch. She enjoys going on walks as long as it’s not too hot outdoors.
Dog-Sitter & High School Student
My dog Winn-Dixie is the sparkle in my day. She has been my best friend since we brought her home when I was 10 years old. She is sometimes jealous of the dogs we walk, but usually she is just curious about them. Winn-Dixie and I work on agility training together. She is absolutely adorable when she jumps over the hurdles Westie style. I enjoy getting to know each of our dog clients and I certainly have my favorites. Helping rescue dogs receive collars thru our buisness is the sweetest part of being a good dog-sitter.
